日本微生物菌种保藏中心JCM

自1981年日本微生物保藏中心(JCM)成立以来,RIKEN-BRC的微生物部门一直在收藏,保存和分发培养的微生物菌株,作为世界领先的微生物保藏中心之一.JCM旨在通过维护科学社区做出贡献。并提供高质量的微生物资源,可用于一般微生物研究和各种研究领域,特别是在健康和环境科学领域。 JCM参加了由日本教育,文化,体育,科学和技术部支持的国家生物资源项目,“General Microbes”被看作是核心竞争力。   

   截至2017年11月,JCM保藏了约25,600株菌,JCM可用菌株的近似数量为:11,700株好氧和厌氧细菌,包括放线菌,530株古菌和5,200株真菌,包括酵母菌(总计约17,500株)。在JCM保藏的菌株仅限于风险评估等级1或2中的菌株。一些菌株的基因组DNA样品也与RIKEN BRC-DNA Bank合作分发。每年向国内外研究人员赠送3500多株菌株。

   JCM正在努力不断改进作为微生物资源中心的功能,开发新的微生物资源,描述新的微生物类群,并开发研究和处理极端微生物,未培养的微生物和微生物群落的方法。 JCM的质量管理体系已获得ISO 9001:2015认证,以维持和提高其服务质量。为了促进微生物菌株的使用,JCM定期发布mailnews和newsletter(日语),并提供基础和高级微生物技术的培训课程。
