Capillary Tube Supplies Ltd is a well established company specializing in the supply of thin wall glass capillary tubes (specimen holders) principally for x-ray diffraction analysis.
X-ray Crystallography and X-ray Powder Diffraction methods are used in conjunction with Debye-Scherrer or Guinier cameras to produce photographs which can establish the structure of a wide range of materials. Particle accelerators are being increasingly used where greater energy and control can provide more definition of the deflection and scattering of the x-rays.
We supply glass capillary tubes in three different types of glass – Special Glass, Borosilicate Glass and Quartz Glass.
We are approved agents for Glasinstrumentemachermeister Muller and Muller.
Our stockholding consists of 15 different sizes in each of the three different types of glass, from 0.1mm to 3.5mm outside diameter. All are normally available from stock, and in addition, special sizes can be made to order.
Borosilicate Glass Capillary Tubes 硼硅玻璃材质毛细管
Manufactured to the highest standards, these tubes are available from 0.1mm to 3.5mm outside diameter. Standard stocked sizes are 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 and 3.5. Other sizes are available to special order.
All sizes up to and including 2.0mm are supplied in packs of 25 pieces, with 2.5mm and 3.0mm being supplied in packs of 15 pieces, and the 3.5mm size being supplies in packs of 10 pieces.
The overall weight of each pack is approximately 30 grams.
The capillary tubes are supplied in an outer glass tube, supported internally in foam.
Overall length of the tubes is approximately 80mm, with 70mm being the capillary length. The capillary length is closed at one end and the open neck end is a larger diameter to ease addition of the sample for testing.
Wall thickness is 0.01mm to minimise the diffraction through the glass
