日本国家计量研究院由4个研究所(工程测量、物理测量、材料和化学测量、测量和分析仪器)、计量质量管理中心、国家计量研究所研究计划室和合作促进室组成，NMIJ的重要任务是开发、维护和传播测量标准，并进行测量技术的研究和开发，这两个领域都有望作为工业科学和技术的基础设施取得显著进展，四个研究所制定和提供计量标准，而计量质量管理中心承担行政工作。NMIJ的研究规划办公室和合作促进办公室负责规划和合作。我们大家一致努力，在国内和国际上开展各种活动，以促进计量标准的发展、维护和传播。
National Metrology Institute of Japan (NMIJ) NMIJ is composed of four Research Institutes (Engineering Measurement, Physical Measurement, Material and Chemical Measurement, and Measurement and Analytical Instrumentation), Center for Quality Management of Metrology, Research Planning Office of NMIJ and Collaboration Promotion Office of NMIJ. The important missions of NMIJ are to develop, maintain and disseminate measurement standards, and to conduct research and development of measurement technologies, both of which are the areas being expected to make remarkable progress as an infrastructure for industrial science and technology. The four Research Institutes develop and supply measurement standards, while the Center for Quality Management of Metrology undertakes administrative tasks. Research Planning Office of NMIJ and Collaboration Promotion Office of NMIJ are responsible for planning and collaboration. We all work in unison and carry out various activities both domestically and internationally to facilitate the development, maintenance and dissemination of measurement standards.
